The Longer answer…

 An unexpected child born July 7, 1998 in Lawton, Oklahoma. Raised by two loving and hard working parents from the west and east side of Detroit. The only boy and youngest of three sisters, and at any moment he could be curious, energetic, reserved, observant, impulsive, thoughtful, emotional and whatever is defining his “now”. During his upbringing he found interest in almost everything under the sun from art, videogames, music, poetry, history to even magic, yoyoing, and dancing.

His “now” is a journey of discovery and questioning how, we or I, tell our stories. In this case, writing in third-person makes it easier to tell mine.

As much as I love to write, communicating one’s own identity amongst billions of people on this planet is a daunting task. However, my answer is simply, I’m human. I think, therefore I am who I was yesterday, thinking about the person who I am now — which is a human that’s also an artist giving shape to his own realities and existence with each day.

We define ourselves and provide the world context to our stories. I’m asking what chapter of life I’m in, so I can fill in the pages with poetry, music, and art. At the end of the day, I hope by communicating my experiences and living though the unknown inspires someone to ask themselves questions like — “who am I?” So, who is Dreyyy?
